CADE Museum Outreach

Writer's picture: AdamAdam

UF IEEE spent Saturday morning at Gainesville's local children museum. Cade Museum is committed to educating the youth about science in order to foster the next generation of inventors, entrepreneurs, and visionaries. The museum has rotating themes that cover different areas of science and history of innovation in order to inspire children to be creative and learn the steps to a great idea.

Right now the museum's rotating theme Latimer, Edison, Tesla: The Age of Electricity and it is centered on electricity and power. Our outreach team and other volunteers helped museum workers facilitate activities explaining the basics on how LEDs work, what a circuit is, static electricity, and about careers in ECE.
